This 1979 Trans Am is admittedly no show car, but rather a well cared for driver quality car that came fromCalifornia. The body is rock solid and has all the original body and floor panels, with absolutely no rust. The paint is driver quality Starlight Black, with a very nice Black cloth bucket seat interior.
The engine is the original Oldsmobile-built 403 cid – 4bbl engine with Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission. At some point the catalytic converter was removed and a complete dual exhaust system was made that exits in the correct location with the proper type exhaust splitters. The car runs, sounds and drives great!
Some of the optional factory equipment that is on this vehicle includes: “ice cold” air conditioning, rear defroster, power windows, power door locks, tilt wheel and the WS6 performance package. The car rides on a fresh set of BF Goodrich radial tires.
The car comes with a complete set of PHS paperwork, as well as the original build sheet to confirm itsCaliforniahistory.
If you are looking for a great Trans Am to be used as a summer time cruiser, this is it! No rust bucket here! An upgraded AM/FM stereo cassette radio was installed, so as to listen to your favorite tunes while out cruising the highways and cruise locations. Additionally, a previous owner installed a chrome-plated bolt-in roll bar that can either be left in or easily removed.
